HUD Assembly Testing and Evaluation

HUD Assembly Evaluation

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the Federal agency responsible for national policy and programs that address America’s housing needs. Because of this, they partner with independent, third party testing and inspection agencies to certify factory built structures. These third party agencies must test according to HUD code standards, as laid out in Title 24: Housing and Urban Development, Part 3280. Section 3280.401 deals specifically with structural assembly load tests, and the exact conditions under which the assembly tests must be performed. NTA is approved by HUD to perform the Proof Load test and the Ultimate Load test to determine if your assembly is compliant with current codes.

NTA is approved by the Federal government to not only perform HUD specific tests, such as the Ultimate Load or Proof Load), but to certify plants for HUD on their ENERGY STAR® qualifications, complete in-plant inspections, and perform quality audits. NTA ensures our clients meet or exceed HUD manufactured home construction Federal regulations and safety standards.
